Electronics based, long tech school, excellent opportunities on the outside...what else do you want to know?

Seriously, I am avionics by trade, so I know the electronics side of the house very well, and the BMETs tend to go deeper than the avionics guys do. If I had it to do all over again, I would be a BMET hands down.

It is the BMETs who diagnose/repair all the medical equipment in the hospital. There is always a demand for medical care, so by default there is always a need to service the equipment.

What are the positives and negitives?
Do they stay in the hospitol or do they go and stay with the electronics guys?

I cannot speak for all locations, but most are located right in the hospitals, at least on the military side.

The only negative that I can come up with off the top of my head is the length of tech school 10-11 months at sheppard AFB.
