Sick of it... I'm so sick of this place. 3 guys in the last week..come on. please let me go home.. I dont care if gas is $27 a gallon i just dont wanna be here anymore.

Try not to buy into the notion that this is all for the price of gas. It's a fatal notion that threatens to cheapen and trivialize all that we do....then losses like this become harder to bear.

hang in there i am going over there in the next 30 days for my third deployment... it is what it is and we all signed up for it. no one made us do it, however i feel you on wanting to come home after something bad like that happens, i have lost quite a few friends over there serving with me. look on the positives of your deployment, gained experience, greater appreciation for the small things in life that we as soldiers get to grace as we return, and the sense of pride you have when your mission is complete and you return home to your loved ones. maybe this is just my views as an NCO in the army, but time heals all and there are many many of your brothers and sisters that have gone thru the same **** you have been going thru, and if they can do it and return, so can you. hang in there and time keeps going even when you dont.... I wish you good luck and a safe trip home....
