Just one of those little Kodak disposables and for 8 great shots I usually take 8 pictures.
Naaa, I shoot with a Nikon D300. As for a certain number of shots it's hard to say. Before I even look through the camera I have an idea of what I want to capture. So lets say I want a good front quarter shot like #4. I got that in two shots. Took my first shot, tweaked the angle and exposure a little, and got my shot. #3 I got in two shots to make sure the car was 100% level. #1 I got in just one shot. #8 I probably took about 10 different rear shots from different angles and heights and that was my favorite (I have a tough time getting really nice rear shots so I usually take more of those to give me more to sort through). For me to post up 10 shots, which I'd normally have an engine bay and full interior shot here, I normally take anywhere from 40-80 shots.

Very good job given the lighting conditions. Direct vertical sunlight is the worst to work with. I shot a GT500 not that long ago. Same color and everything. Your pics blow mine away though.
Hope you don't mind me adding them up. Any pointers? I seem to be having a focusing issue with my 28-135 IS lens. I have since gotten rid of it and started shooting only primes for car shots.

This is what ive been trying to acheive, looking back at some of the photos ive taking it shows what a rookie i am. Even thou people really do like what i take, and i even have two request for photo shoots. This is just amazing. I really like this Nikon camera you are using. How many different lenses do you use and which one do you seem to like that if you had to choose one for a day which would it be.

Thanks bad95, over here it's raining half the time and swinging from 35-75* in a day. So I hear you one needing better conditions.
Thanks again for all the kind words guys.
SkinnyGuy, I have a 18-135mm, 10-20mm, and 50mm f/1.8 lens. For most of these I used the 50mm lens, but if I had to pick only one it would be the 18-135mm.
hitman, I'll look them over and comment tomorrow. I'm on a slow connection so pictures take forever to load. Gotta get some sleep for now but from what I've seen so far those look solid. Just need a little work in post processing

Haha, I saw it but didn't have time to reply. Can't believe they banned you. I'll get them to unban you. Things are good over here. Just living life. How about you? Sounds like a nice step up from the old 240 to your Vette. I've got the Vette itch very bad too. Looking into C5 Zs heavily. May even get out of the GTO and into one soon.

Haha, thanks guys.
k-mart, you're unbanned on SSU now. Post away my man.
hitman, saw all the shots. Overall I don't think you're too far off. The location works. The angles could use a little tweaking to really flatter the car more but you're far from off on them. The lighting could be a little better, it's leaving the pictures a little flat (that can be somewhat fixed in post processing though). And also when you've got a full sized file to print it'll come out sharp, but when you resize it for the web it loses that sharpness, so resharpening them after you downsize them would help. Overall not bad at all. Keep on keeping on with the angles and locations, experiment with different light, and try to sharpen them up just a little (don't want to overdo it) after you downsize and you'll be there man.
