You still are not understanding that the average Z06 owner does not run mid to low 11's. This is why Im saying that the GTR will be more consistent and will allow for better times at the track. Unless you have two equal drivers(most likely will not be the case) the GTR will win 8/10. Again, I know the Z06 is faster, but this will not show 100% at the track.
zo6 wins hands down, in ALL aspects of racing, speed, handling, braking, looks, etc....

The ZR1 is in a totally different league. I dont see why the comparison was made. But if you look at the vid, the GTR was not that far behind considering being down by 150hp

Someone always has to come to every thread and . If its not one thing its another. In the beginning, the GTR was gonna smoke the ZR1, yada yada. Now we have them both out and the cry has changed to an unfair advantage, blah blah. The GTR is nice if you prefer your cars like your women, fat and a little out of shape once the clothes come off...Its like that c cup wonder bra, pull it off to find a b. Nice, but still disappointment...

If gtrs trap in the 120s consistently then why do they get destroyed by c6z06s from rolls all the time? Average c6z06 traps about 122-125 and according to the fanboys the gtr does 120-124, that should make for a drivers race but it doesnt.

I see what 25psi is saying. And he is right. AWD pull great 60ft times and that is where most all races are won or lost. Out of the box new cars stock vs. stock the ZR1 is a better allaround car but the Skyline is still a hell of a car. Time will tell the true story. As many shops are working on both cars right now.
If I had $$$$ to spend I would start with a Skyline. And go for 1600rwhp build. I love the ZR1 but it is limited out of the box with a over heating (at higher boost). it is light and the great brakes. i just think I could build a cheaper and faster street/strip car with a Skyline.
I was always being killed by 300-400hp GSX on the street in my 550rwhp camaro. This is from a dig but on the highway I would pull on them.
Many people have a hard time understanding a drag strip is a world apart from a side street. And my tires don't hook in pot holes.

Look on the page before this one. That is one instance.
If you look at the current top 10 fastest C6Z's, you will see a difference in 1.5 seconds and 10mph. The GTR's trans is similar to an auto, so.........you will receive more consistent times. I mentioned my neighbors GTR awhile back, in which he ran a 11.67, 11.72, 11.70(lc) at 119-121. With out launch control, he managed 11.9, 12.0x and 12.2(i think).
Basically you're insisting that an auto ls1 is not more accurate than a 6 speed.
