This isn't a full time job, or even a job. It is just freelance work, an opportunity to get your talent showcased and your name out there. Pay would be minimal, we are looking for guys that do it as a hobby and want to get better.

Definitely hobby work for me, but I have no real car photography done, just don't know enough people around here and going to be moving again anyways. I definitely want to get better, but there's honestly enough people already posted in this thread that are beyond anything I could come up with. Maybe another time.

I can possibly help you guys out Tony. I'd have to invest in a better camera as I do everything with a decent point and shoot camera. I know you've seen a few of my photo's before, my latest ones are in the signature. IMO This would just be a little hobby for me (assuming the schedule is fine).

Tony, I'm definitely interested. I'm in Columbus, GA (90 miles south
of Atlanta) and my day job is a mortgage banker, so I've had
PLENTY of free time over the past year to work on my photography, lol.

My main gear is:
Nikon D200 - main body (10mpix, 5fps, etc.)

Lenses:
18-200mm f3.5-5.6 VR
35mm-105mm fixed f2.8
85mm f1.8
50mm f1.8
20mm f2.8

Other fun stuff:
Nikon SB600 Speedlight with off camera wireless control (have
access to a few other SB800's when needed)
Stickypod Vehicle Camera Mount
A few tripods, flash modifiers, and a dozen or so filters including
Cokin mounts for all my lenses.

I also dabble in a little bit of high def video (the Stickypod is
awesome for that). I use a Sony HC7 HDV with a couple of extra
lenses, filters, and an underwater case.

I love to write and actually have a few article ideas every now and
then. My main photography website is www.johntookmypicture.com
(about 28,000 pics uploaded so far) and my portfolio is here: http://www.johntookmypicture.com/gallery/6337656_7RVGJ

Some of my favorite car pics are in this folder: http://www.johntookmypicture.com/gallery/6337696_UiLPg

Up until a month ago I didn't own Photoshop, so most of the
examples on my website have no post processing done to them
(except for the HDR stuff). Here's a few specific examples of my
vehicle shots:

I just took another photojournalism class last month and am signed
up for 4 more this quarter (my bachelor's is in business).

Here's 9 galleries I have from various car events over the past year or so: http://www.johntookmypicture.com/Cars/491554

Let me know what you think,

From what I've seen, my little Nikon L1 takes pictures almost as nice as the ones posted here. I picked it up for like $30 from a friend of mine who didn't want it. I won't post a bunch of pictures here, but the last five in my gallery are good examples. I usually just touch up the brightness and contrast on Adobe CS3, then leave it be. Can't afford the fancy stuff.

Regardless of whether I'd be paid a Mexican's minimum-wage or peanuts, I'm game.

I live in Simpsonville, KY which is 15 minutes outside of Louisville. Willing to travel for shoots if mileage is compensated.

I've shot a lot cars and motorcycles. I've shot for StangTV @ NMRA World Finals 2008 in Bowling Green, KY, and shot the January 2009 Cover & 2 page spread of 2Wheel Tuner Magazine. I do have more photos that I'm going to be loading up soon just got my site up and running not to long ago.

Here are a couple of shots of my customers cars that Slammed96GT took over the summer for me at a track event.

Hope to have some more of the Black Twin Turbo 69 Camaro soon.
