If you wanna know what the settings were, just save the pic to your pc, right click on the pic, choose properties and then details... This will give you all of the exif data...

they aren't HDR, but i do think that he used sky pictures from a different day or did some photoshopping to it. there's no way you could get sky like that without underexposing the cars. would your friend care to share his postprocessing? he obviously knows what he's doing!

on a second look, i'm going to guess some dodge/burn or a layer mask with the original sky. you can tell where they were blended if you know what to look for but he did a lot better than i can. what is the silver 4 door?

LOL since i was actually there to answer your question. NO the sky isnt brought in. The weather was that way in waco for like 3 days. in february. the photographer isnt on this forum so unless i can get him to chime in here ill just have to ask for his settings.
