The basic rundown is that there is a battle between the founders of LS1TECH (Nine Ball, Pro Stock John) and Internet Brands, who purchased the forum from them in 2007. Nine Ball and Pro Stock John stayed on for two extra years post-purchase as administrators to help transfer ownership, during which time IB made several questionable decisions involving google advertisements and the banning of a longtime administrator. Each time, the former administrators and moderators were there to call IB out on it, and IB would reverse their decision.
When Nine Ball and Pro Stock John were removed as administrators as per their agreement with IB this past week, they started a new website which I will not mention as per the rules and policy of LS1TECH regarding spam.
That's the basic gist of it, and I hope this thread stays open in order to let the usership of LS1TECH know the basic facts
