I think it has the blower on it also. Needless to say a turbo fgt is not that loud I stood next to one on the dyno. But yes I dont think the vette hit it unless that camera man has a dam good hand and the camera has a anti glitch device. But none the less that thing moved dee *** out!

I would think that the power the C6 and the GT put down during rolls wouldn't be that different since neither car is at WOT probably.

Agreed, but I don't think it would hook @ any speed @ WOT spooled up. Congrats to the GT. However, 1500 HP is conversational HP @ best. I saw a 1000 HP Ford GT break traction @ 150 MPH on Supercars Exposed. Luckily for the driver it only spun out & didn't flip.

Not really. It is all about pressure ratios. You will usually pulley the blower itself for lower boost to minimize IAT's (depending on how much launching power you want) then turn the boost up on the turbo's pushing the air into the s/c. If you run an efficient IC system then your IAT's will be quite manageable. Eventually heat will become an issue but twin charging assists in keeping both the turbo's and s/c in their efficiency ranges longer thus keeping collective IAT's lower. When you want to turn the total boost up or down just adjust through a turbo boost controller rather than messing with re-pulleying the s/c.

I didn't see anything in the video to make me think that vette had 1000 hp. EIther car would be a handfull to drive,.....unless they an a boost by gear setup or something else to limit power....cause,...I've blown the tires off at 130mph with about half the power.

1000 rwhp vehicles are beast. The ford looked like it made that kind of power. I also understand the concept of twin chargeing....we did it on a saturn and a friend of mine(recently died) was planning on twin chargeing his cobra but,.....never seen anyone do this on a GT. I'd imagine at a certain power level the blower we be a restriction. IAT's nightmare

To those saying there isn't a blower on it anymore, read the youtube description.

Also, I highly doubt that GT was WOT.

OutlawZRACING, are you talking about the TT yellow GT at Lethal? What did that bad bitch put down?

You know, now that I take another look it doesn't really look like the Vette is accelerating much. Could be wrong, but it does make ya think. GT would still win obviously.

Not really surprising. 400rwhp more will usually do that.

If the youtube description is correct then I guess I stand corrected, it wouldn't be the first time a car was s/c'd and turbo'd.

That's what I was saying earlier, you aren't hooking 1200rwhp on the street. I even doubt that the C6 is hooking 800rwhp on the street. This all changes though if the cars had variable boost by gear as someone mentioned earlier

Joe seemed to do it in his (in)famous TT Ford GT. A friend hooks a thousand
horse on the street in his 8.50 car. Then again, it's a 28" slick.

funny, in the video it says the vette is 850hp. since when is that 1k? is an ls1 making 350hp just about 500hp? i love how anything ~800hp or close is just "1k", like it means about the same (it doesn't).

badass cars and outcome is totally expected. for BSing sake, you might as well be watching a 500hp camaro and a 900+hp viper go at it. same result.
