Chill out dude, you're going to give yourself indigestion freaking out like that over a video. While yes, this is an LS forum, we appreciate MOST vehicles that are tastefully done. If someone threw a rod like you did every time an import video was on this forum, there wouldn't be a multimedia exchange. Lighten up.

Nice audi... got some serious horsepower to outrun that caddy! (though I will admit I'd rather see the caddy take the win!)

You guys get your panties in a bunch way to easy. His video reminded me of the stroked m5 video that outran the caddy. These guys get off on outrunnin a stock unit with a car that costs more and has mods. If I did all that and knew I could've bought a better car for cheaper I would'nt be on here braggin bought it. Nice truck spoonin......now go work on it.

He's saying you SOUND like a ricer- not that you DRIVE rice.

The Caddy is def a nice car and stock for stock it would give an 03 Audi RS6 more than it can handle. But lets not get carried away now shall we? For one an RS6 is an EXTREMELY nice ride- one could make a very strong arguement that it's actually nicer than the CTS-V, but that's a matter of taste. One advantage the Audi has is the AWD- it will hand the Caddy it's *** in the twisties and also has a VERY strong top end. But since you want to compare a NEW caddy to a 6 yr old RS6- why don't we make things fair and compare the new caddy to the NEW RS6? Fair is fair right?- of course you'll be crying the blues when the V goes down in flames in EVERY category!! Truth be told the Caddy is an extremely nice sport/luxury car. But to say that it bests ALL "euro-trash" sedans is extremely myopic on your part. Hey we get it- you like American vehicles, most of us here do too. But lets not be so "fan-boi" about it that we can't give props to other vehicles that are just as good if not better hmmmm?

The caddy beat them all around the 'ring so I doubt it's getting it's *** handed to it to bad. We to our BMW M3 and out ran the Audi R8 at Limerock park in the rain when we raced in the speed gt series..... yea I'm not just a "fan boy" I have worked on the euro trash. The biggest advantage of awd is from a dig. We could set on the pole and the audi would hole shot us and once everything would get goin good we could work our way back around it sometimes.... sometimes not.

Not agreeing that german cars are "euro trash" but the cts-v IS the fastest 4 door productoin sedan to EVER go around the nurinburg ring, under 8.00....so i dont think it will be "going down in flames in ever category"

I heard that the RS4 went around the ring in 7:58 with Frank Stippler at the realm. I think this time is fishy, but I read (what I could) about it in a German car mag. It doesn't seem possible, but it might have been the driver...
Also, the new Porsche Panamera turbo went around in 7:56. Iwould still pick the cts-v over either though.

I don't care what it is, if it can pull on a new CTSV, it's frickin fast. Low 12's at 118 is no slouch.

The ring is a bunch of BS. There is no such thing as an official ring time unless you are officially racing in a sanctioned event. You may not like to hear that but it's the truth.

And I'm not saying the Caddy is a bad car....but I can think of more than a couple EURO 4doors I'd take over it.

But to each their own.

CTS-V = LSA engine.
ZR-1 = LS9 engine.

Both are 6.2L,
LS9 has a 2300 on it,
LSA has a 1900 on it I believe
There's also a bunch of tiny differences between the two like baffles in the intake runners on the LS9, bigger IC, etc...
Also difference in tuning, LS9 makes 638hp LSA makes 550hp

Ah ok. I thought GM jammed an LS9 into the CTS-V and called it a day.
