Same thing happened to a buddy of mine in his old *** 4 runner. Just cruising down the highway and BOOM. trans dropped completely out

No, it was more of an issue of the tranny imploding and the flywheel bolts broke in half, not sure which order that occured in

That thing looks like it's going to be mean as hell when you get it put back together. Should dominate in a FWD class.
