Chances are, the tips got hot, and with all of the rubber getting kicked off the tires, it collected on the tips and then ended up smoldering off.
Can't people learn to how to modulate the throttle a little better and keep it off the limiter. It makes me cringe everytime I hear someone sitting on the limiter like that.
Oh, and definitely better burnout contest than the typical US version where they put the car in blocks and just burn off the tires. At least this takes some talent and power. My old 97 explorer could do a burnout with the front end blocked off, but that doesn't make it right.

I wonder if those colored tires burn hotter?
What's the deal with that Monaro? Looks like it could of been AWD but I'm pretty sure they aren't. Guess all the extra smoke at the billow out of the front wheel well too!
