I like how it's coming along, looks like a nice truck. Is that a stock big block or is there work done to it?

i posted up some shitty cell phone pics my friend sent me.. my sister took these with her digital camera.

1984 K20 chevy
427 bored .060 over, 11.0 to 1 compression, stock truck heads, edelbrock intake, rebuilt Q-jet, headers no cats to flowmaster super 44's dumped behind the cab.

10 bolt front, 14 bolt rear, both freshly rebuilt with 3.42 gears. SM465 Granny 4 speed trans with a centerforce dual friction clutch.

4 inch skyjacker softride lift, 16.5 old school mag wheels (idk what brand) on 36x12.50 Goodyear Wrangler RT 2 military tires.

Future mods... find a bed for it, put the bushwacker flares on it, paint it and mount it of course. 18x10 Diamo Karat wheels with 40x13.5x18 Mickey Thompson Baja Claw radials.

Looks good, makes me miss my '83 Scotty. What I miss is how simple thoes trucks were, no frills, no cheap *** plastic junk, hard to break if you didn't drive like a jack ***.

Um are you sure its a 10 bolt front? Maybe a Dana 44? Not sure but being 1ton with a 14bolt rear you shouldn't have a 10, but I could be wrong, Not use to trucks that new lol

lol i drive like a jackass and it still doesnt break. IMO the easiest vehicles to work on EVER! i dropped my tranny without getting a tire off the ground.. and the engine bay could fit 2 small blocks side by side, so theres plenty of room.

Well its originally a 3/4 ton truck but its got a 1 ton full floating 14 bolt in the rear.. the previous owner built it as a pulling truck.

thats ******* awesome dude!! your motor looks much nicer than mine.. what kind of heads do you have? im wanting to put some aluminum ones on mine at some point.. you could easily go 38's with a 6". mines got 4" and it clears 36's with ease.

and on the sunset bronze metallic.. i would have done hugger orange if my interior wasnt blue

Just get a really big radiator!

One of the many projects that I want to do is get an early 80's truck like the one I had and drop one of the newer 5.3L vvt AFM motors in it and make it as efficient as possible. I don't know why, that just seemed like a cool idea to me.
