What else can I say? Supposedly the car was done by livernois and the car is a dedicated road course car.

that seems like pointless work to me.. a bigger blower would have got the same if not more power.. i guess LS1's are lighter than 4v mod motors tho.

I think thats why he wanted to do the swap anyways, but again who knows exactly why he chose the LS1. My guess is weight and maybe easier to work on, less complicated?

They most likely swapped it to make identical NA power to the 4vs blower numbers.

Its tough to have a road car and not get heat soak in the blower. Heat is definitely an issue for road cars.

I'm guessing heat soak had a lot to do with it. I'm not sure blowers are the greatest idea when on the track for multiple hours.
Looks pretty sick.

yeha, id say lighter weight on the front wheels = better handling & a N/A motor > roots blown motor for a road race car. heat soak would suck. that car sounds great though, but i bet itll stir up some ****.

Not sure if this is really an '03 / '04 Cobra, but regardless...it's all about power to weight ratio and weight distribution. Nobody wants a nose heavy autocross car...particularly one that has a heat pump on top of the engine. We don't know what the class rules are either. That looks like a pretty serious car.

Car is a real 04 Cobra. It was totalled and rebuilt as you see above. There is already a big thread about it on SVTP.

It doesn't look like a terminator edition but with all the cosmetic work done to that car you cant tell.

What was their reaction?? I saw a 1969 Twin Turbo Camaro at a car show on Saturday that had a big block Fuel injected Ford motor in it... I didn't think of asking the guy why he did that because the car was a show car, you can tell he wasn't pinching any pennies either. Oh well!
