ahh well at least youre not a dick about it.. lol 90% of the hardcore cummins guys wont speak to you if you say anything good about any other diesel. honestly, i wasnt impressed with a 6.0 powerstroke, but all the other diesels ive driven ( 06 duramax, 04 cummins, 01 powerstroke ) ive liked alot.

not all 6.0's are junk the early ones from '03 and the newest ones with the smog crap in 07+ suck, same with the 6.4's, nothing like a 7.3 though along with them 5.9 cummins 2 best diesel motors for those trucks imo

yea the 5.7 diesel from gm in the 80's is considered to be the worst diesel ever created.. but the 6.5's can be modded a decent amount. theres a guy on the site with a modded 6.5 in a 95 Z28 thats pretty badass.

WHAT? Any videos of it you can post up? Very curious.

Scheid at it again! it seems they have top contenders in everything Diesel. Wow, just wow!
the Cummins is a great powerplant, along with the Duramax and Powerstrokes. It all about how much money you wanna stick into them that makes you fast.
those 5.7L Diesels were definately JUNK!
yeah, the 6.2/6.5s GM Diesels have been left on the wayside when it comes to performance. but there are a few guys like myself working on the R+D to
pick up where GM/Detroit Diesel left off. believe me, it's not easy to do.
There has also been alot of obstacles to overcome as far as internal engine parts and getting enough fuel to feed. Cracked blocks, heads, broken cranks at stock power levels got us down, but were gradually finding ways to eliminate the issues. Up until 5 or so years ago, only stock replacement parts were available.
The new additions recently have been forged cranks ($$$$$), Scat crank, Forged pistons, I am working on some custom grind cams, head porting/larger valves, and turbo options.
I have experience with LSx engines, and for a pushrod, 2 valve engine, the guys here at Tech make some serious power. So I have faith that given a little more RPM, fuel and boost, the 6.5 (pushrod, 2 valve head) can run some decent times.

thats badass! love the sound of that turbo spoolin!! I don't know jack about new diesels..or any automotive diesels really I have to take care of the DD 12-71v, DD 8-71, and the POS 2cyl gemini generator on the boat I work on, gotta love the DD's, simple & reliable unlike our damn generator!
