Technically a larger stall is a smaller converter, but yea. Also, you don't really want to footbrake it to stall speed (basically what you were doing), that doesn't really allow the converter to flash hard. If you get a 3500 stall for example, try leaving at 2300 ish and it should flash and take off. On a stocker, stall it to 1800-2000.

I have a 3600 in it now and thats why I want go larger. I had a 4200 in it before that trans let go and when I put this new trans in I also tried a smaller stall speed. It is nice for driving around but I am going back with a 4k at least.
