I think that since the SS was a part of some of the greatest(or very good) cars ever, and it don't refer to a specific model, it's fine. I like it, but would never do the same letters here in germany

I don't knock tattoo's, but I was raised with the belief that marking of the skin was forbidden in the eye's of my maker (trying not to bring religous beliefs in this).

personally, i dont think tattoos are trashy or stupid unless they are something retarded like a clown or random barbwire. if you are passionate abotu anything, then its fine for you. if he is really passionate about his car, its along the same lines as if his friend died and he wanted to honor him, not exactly, but same idea.

IMO, that's a horrible tattoo...very redneck.
i mean if thats what you want fine. just one question. you said you will keep the ss forever, what happens when you get rear ended? that's why i don't have my z28 anymore. i wouldn't of gotten that on my back for one reason tattoo's are addicting and your back is your biggest canvas.
and about the tats and working class comments, there was an article on the internet or magazine (don't remember) about high class people with tattoo's i rember seeing several doctors a ceo of a BIG company and a few lawyers, and these were not like little stars these were like full sleeves, back pieces, etc.. its hard to generalize the kind of people that have tattoo's since so many people have tattoo's, now fifty years ago i would have agreed that you can generalize the kind of people that have tattoo's but now a days you cant.

maybe 10 years ago tattoos were only a working class thing... but nowadays i see alot of white collar guys with tattoos.. its not as taboo as it used to be. i enjoy tattoos but i think long and hard before i commit to getting one.. thus why i only have 3, none of which i regret.
