Post up Turbo LSX video's here thread...
Has nothing to do with Harlan, that's why I don't understand all the butt hurt. His car is capable of destroying those bikes, as i have seen other vids of his. The car in question is a bit slower than what i am used to seeing harlan run, no question about it. is it because it was back when he had a little ICON setup, perhaps. I don't know who call911 thinks it is, but I had heard from a thread on cz28 that it was someone even different. I confirmed that it wasn't that guy. I just want to read the thread about the race, that's all. Everyone is too sensitive. It has nothing to do with knowing him or calling bs on him... he isn't even in the thread.
^^ at the 43 second mark he stabs the clutch while he is at like 5 grand?? Why the hell did he have to stab the clutch? I dont get that at all.
Jermzz: Now that you've had your turbo car for a while how do you like it compared to a big cube naturally aspirated setup?

when i jump on this car you should hear me cursing and swearing at it to go until it hits full boost. Its not that bad, it hits FULL boost by about 3800, but its nothing like 500lb/ft at 2500rpm.
Thats my only gripe. The push feeling this car has is so addicting. Over all I'm more happy with this car then the other one. I needed something more street friendly. The other car was downright nasty, but it was turning into a race car and thats not what I ever intended for it.

I also noticed the HOSS double clutching. lol. "you never had your car!"
For the record, the car is indeed Harlan's twin turbo Firehawk with the Incon kit on it and that is Harlan speaking at the end (not the radio). The car was a six speed car at the time and it was with the stock Incon kit, the intercoolers, etc. I don't recall if that video was before he had the bores cleaned up making the engine 348 inches instead of 346 thus starting the "Stock Displacement" bitch fest that went on here for years afterward. I'm also remotely aware of who one of the riders was by pure circumstance.
Harlan ultimately upgraded some of the bits and pieces on the car after that video before he hand fabbed his own twin turbo under hood kit with the headers that came up on top with the tangent housing 66's with the larger intercoolers, etc. That was the setup that was taken to the Thunder Shootout with the six speed still in it and it went 10.DOH. The video that was posted was before the car had the custom turbo kit on it by at least a year and a half.
This is Harlan's firehawk after we converted it over from the Incon kit and is likely when most people started seeing it go much faster. http://stenodperformance.com/videos/..._streetcar.wmv At the 1:20 mark I believe it's Stenod's Incon Camaro vs Harlan's car (no contest). With the six speed in the car it never went faster than 10.000. Not until we put the Powerglide and the Neal Chance converter in the car did it run in the 8.20's with no other significant changes other than the addition of the parachute.
My car on the left with the 382 all bore solid roller LS6 motor (no nitrous) vs Stenod's Incon TT Camaro for some color contrast - http://stenodperformance.com/videos/Derty_Highway2.wmv
After that was Harlan's Single Turbo Silverado and the PowerGlide conversion to the Firehawk. There was the infamous Norwalk track eating wheelie: http://www.stenodperformance.com/nor...rwalk_High.wmv
I'm sure I have some Thunder Shootout footage somewhere from that year. After that was Raj's Red Mustang, Kevin's white Firebird with the small housing twin 60's that we ran in the LS series, Kyle Farley's single turbo Firebird, Brad's TT Firebird and ultimately Tom Kempf's Red Rocket that consumed the undivided attention of team Stenod. Who can forget Tom destroying his car in a test session three days before the LSX Shootout in 2007, team Stenod rebuilding it in just as many days and then winning the inaugural LSX shootout? http://www.derty.org/stenod/LSX_Shootout_2007.wmv. I've yet to upload the rest of the videos but you can see more at http://youtube.com/stenodracing. I do need to find the better LSX video from 2007. You can see the LSX shootout videos from 2008 where Tom took runner up.
There you go. The abbreviated chronology from Harlan's car up through the Red Rocket from Team Stenod. Does that settle your little dispute or do I need to go draw blood out of Harlan to satisfy you? Of course I should check the statute of limitations before I really say that it was him but I'm sure that they've all expired by now

BTW, that race between you and Joe looks like 696 Dragway.
LOL
Wow, all this for one little video
Yes, that's my car. Yes, it's an LS1, and yes, it's always been an LS1.
And that's me after having lunch with the local crew on sportbikes.net after the **** storm the video caused over there when I posted it
Even still has the shoe polish on the front window

hey look, white gauges

It's crazy how far cell phone technology has come in less than 10 years.
That billboard is pretty funny.
Anyone still need proof that the vid was Harlan's and that it indeed was a LS1?
Maybe someday we'll see it in Outlaw 10.5 trim.
messing around already with that thing and button it up.
Back on topic...more badass turbo LSx cars...
Well on the top end no doubt this thing is nasty, but I really really do miss having 500+ tq on demand at literally any rpm.
when i jump on this car you should hear me cursing and swearing at it to go until it hits full boost. Its not that bad, it hits FULL boost by about 3800, but its nothing like 500lb/ft at 2500rpm.

who's car that is, who's vid that is, and what engine it had in it.
Many of us know Harlan and his car. We're wrong just because you
"saw it in person" once?
post up and verify that as well...sponsors, admin, racers, etc. It's comical
that you're actually questioning Harlan and Derty directly. Both guys
have nothing but credibility. You on the other hand have none. Just
let it go already.
I find it funny that he actually doesn't even believe Harlan directly and is still convinced that it could not have been his car because he saw it an hour before. This is definitely one of the more laughable things I've seen in a few weeks.
I know the evidence is showing that way, but I'm still not convinced just because I saw the car in person like an hour before it was taped. But this thread shouldn't be about all this (as I mentioned earlier). It should be what it was opened for, to show turbo LSX cars as you mentioned.
The car in the vid has white face gauges as well as white face pod gauges, and the stock radio. Exactly the same as the car in the picture.
That's kinda hard to beat.
Now, I want to see more deathmobile turbo LSX cars and continue to cream in my pants. So enough of these shenanigans.

I dont meen to make the argument rage on, but check out the placement of the scanmaster and shift light in both the pictures of harlans car and the video. That combined with the chain hanging in the rear view mirror, the white face gauges, and gauge pod seems like enough evidence to prove that it is harlans car, at least to me. Just wanting to point out my observations
Back on track. Here is a video I found on youtube of mightymouse's car.
