Ford definitely did it right with that car.

AWD, TT V-6, deadly combo.

Funny that car only weighs a hair more than the GT500 and is running the same times.

Um, no. The 5.0 OHC "Coyote" was confirmed for the 2011 Mustang GT. Right around 400HP/TQ.

The Ecoboost TT V6 was rumored to be in a new "SVO" model like the one from the late 80's but Ford has neither confirmed nor denied it that I have seen.

just wait till someone starts modding the hell out of it and starts breaking stuff and finds the weak points and starts upgrading that to push the car to the limit. GN all over again but this time 4D/AWD. That car should be in the 11second zone with out getting to crazy. But who wants to be the first one to do it and scrap there factory wrnty . It's only the begining . This car will fly

I wonder if the car is considered a sports car as far as insurance goes?

Did a little digging and found a thread made my the owner.

http://www.svtperformance.com/forums...dragstrip.html

This sheds a little more light on the car.

I'd kill to see what this thing will do in a Mustang.

Me too ,but the Taurus still benefits from all wheel drive. Maybe a stall and a little more boost 11's easily..

Truth, but he's only cutting 1.90s so far. I snagged those kinds of times on 245mm Kumhos.

A nice stall worth at least .5 drags all the way around ..who knows.Top end not the strongest but with a little more boost, cold air interesting.I have always been a v8 fan but the car has serious potential.

its a cool car, and i'm a hardcore GM guy. It even looks good.

Id take it any day over any of this import junk thats around. I hate headgasket swaps, these days, you do an oil change, tire rotation, and head gasket swap.
ok i'm ranting

whats sad is, the g8 is gone now

I really hope Ford goes with that motor, but it seems less lkely as time goes by.

The F150 SVT Raptor supposedly was going to have that motor and yet they decided to go with a new 6.2 OHC motor instead.

Not only that, the coyote 5.0 has a compression ratio of 11:1. So Ford won't be able to sell the idea that the car runs on 87 oct, which seems like a big deal to them.

The detail that makes it most doubtful is the price. To purchase a new, fully dressed, coyote 5.0 crate engine from Ford costs $25,000.

It does look like the SHO is turning out to be a pretty mean sedan. I don't think you can really compare it to a new CTS-V though...

Except for the back end, I love this car all around. I will be checking it out next summer when I trade in the Blakbird for a four door toy. Though I can't imagine i'll be taking an SHO over a CTS-V or STS-V.

What is it with 2010 Fords and ugly rear ends? The Mustang got one, and now Taurus and Fusion both have them.
