Mine was that way too.....I just spray it black, and then scuffed it back up with steel wool. The lettering is recessed as you know, so they steel wool wont scuff that part off.

Thanks. I'd like to share another pic with you. This was one of the best days of my life. I bought 2 of my dream cars on the same day, drove out and brought them home at the same time.
