Well, it has the 6-speed Viper record I believe, but not the 6-speed record.

With that trap speed, he should be able to get it to a flat 8 with a perfect launch.

Nice, I think thats .1-.2 faster then the 6spd Supra record. Could be wrong though.

Last I checked, the 6-speed supra record was the BoostLogic Supra with a lower 8 second run.

The boost logic supra and Darin's Supra both trap about the same as this Viper though.

is that supra irs?

I cant imagine how hard it is getting a 6 speed irs car with that much power to launch well.

that supra sounded crazy, i like the titan motorsports one i believe it holds the record for fastest supra but i could be wrong

Just goes to show what time and $$$ does, it does not matter if you are a 3.4l or a 8.4l

It looks like that supra leaves harder then the viper for sure.

Not to defend the Viper, it is the slower of the 2. However, it is all in how the suspension is setup and the chassis engineer's understanding of the suspension geometry. My T/A went from consistent 1.5's to a 1.34 and consistent 1.3's off the footbrake with just chassis scaling.

Very true. Judging from each of the car's trap speeds, the Viper could dip into the 7's if it really hooked up. The supra guys have just spent so much time and perfected dialing their cars in to run on the stock IRS and 6-speed.

A Viper did dip into the sevens a while back, but clearly has been bested by the Supra's 7.91

I guess they thought it might be cool, then, to play the first song that popped up from google with that phrase in the lyrics...
