That's cause it was designed that way
This is why I loved my GTO. I got hit and it saved my *** from being hurt, had I been in my 95 Jetta...I would have broken quite a few things.
The GTO may have been "a boat" but I still went 13.3 bone stock in my 04, and 13.0 @ 111 with headers...that's moving for a car that weighs probably 4050 with me in it.
This is also another example of why I want another GTO. But IDK what to do.

Here is a picture of my 2006 GTO with only 13,000 miles on it after a lady ran a red light doing 55mph.
It ruined every body panel on the car other than the trunk lid. $24,000 in damages was the final tally and that was just with a general pull apart gaze at the damage. it took me almost 1.5 years to get the claim completed with both my own insurance the ladies insurance. She hit my car, a Hyundia Santa Fe and pushed all of us into a new BMW Z4. All in all something like $70,000 in damages to our cars, she the state minimum coverage.
