SLP LM with gutted cats?

Anybody have a sound clip or something for SLP LM with gutted cats? IM thinking about doing it for my 93 Z28

Yeah idk if you want that. I have LT's with a LM1. If I wasn't planning on turning the car into a down payment for a C6 Vette I would change my exhaust to GMMG or Borla. Those are by far my favorite catbacks. If you go that route, it's going to be loud as ****, that's all I can tell ya.

My old 96 Z. God I miss that car. After I buy my vette this year, I'm going to look that car up and see if I can buy it back, very sentimental.

I had that setup for a week. Got pulled over 2 times. It had to go, it was louder than my cammed open cut out.

yeah i figured it was going to be pretty damn loud. My cat crapped out so i figured the easiest and cheapest route would be to just rip it open and gut it.

i ran lt's no cats and an lm1 a few years back and i used to commute with that set up.
50 miles 1 way and my ears would ring for an hour after i turned the car off.

i love the set up but dont recommend it for a dd lol.

i did a 1-3 gear wot and scared the **** out of a lil mexican lady walking on the sidewalk.

My setup was:

Cam,Long tubes, ORY, and LM1. Holy hell was it ******* loud. It sounded badass at idle and at WOT but anywhere in between was awful. The rasp that started at 2k rpm sounded like ****. It also gave me a headache.

I have since changed it however. I now run the same setup but through a magnaflow cat back

When they say loud, they mean LOUD! I had pacesetter lt, gutted cats, and slp loudmouth 1 on my old z. I could rev it and set off a car alarm. No joke lol.

IMO gutted cats do nothing performance wise and make your exhaust sound like crap.

Good luck driving with that setup lol, I had it on my 94 TA and my buddy had it on his 96 GT and damn did we get looked at like a bunch of ******** driving around lol
