They are pretty low, but Clarkson is also pretty tall. For example, a C5 Z06 is 47.7" tall, the Lamborghini Diablo VT (that car) is only 3.8 inches shorter at 43.9"

I saw that clip a long time ago, still very cool.
Clarkson's old work is great. You should check out his older videos. His work on original top gear is kind of dry somtimes though.

For those who are interested, the clip is from one of Clarkson's earliest works entitled: Apocalypse Clarkson (1997).

Other popular clips from this movie included Clarkson destroying a C4 corvette and a test to determine which car has the best handling (includes an NSX, E46 M3, Ferrari 550, 3000gt, R33 GTR, 993 turbo, and other cars).

It's a pretty good video, full of the usual Clarkson antics and satire.
