new record for eclipes!!! this is one of my dads buddy's who has a turbo/ n20 eclipse, i think its the new record since my dad emailed me the link with the title "new record" lol
the guy just finished the work on the car over the winter and went out to etown a couple of weeks ago for a test n tune, ran a high 10 at 134.9, when he went to get his slip the guy said "you got lucky you didnt go 135, they would kick you off the track"
he goes back around and waits to run again when he realizes the car is dripping oil...
just went back to etown last time after fixing the problem, dialed the car in and went for the first run of the day, goes around to get his slip and the guy says "no, they want to see you upstairs, i cant give you your slip"
kinda confused he goes upstairs and long story short they rip up all his cards and stuff and say he has to leave, after arguing back and forth he finds out he went 8.99@147... after more arguing about what his 60' time was they leave him with "its was good enough for pro stock"

Certainly not the record for the 4g63 engine (the turbo one), but maybe for the 420a.
The record for eclipses (and the fastest 4 cyl in the world) belongs to another eclipse owned by brent rau (6.87 @ 201mph)

Yeah I guess it could be the 2g auto record then.
Outlawz check out john shepherds dsm, I think someone posted one of his runs, it still has the original unibody and it runs 7.7 @ 191. If you took the parachute off and put street tires back on it, it would still look exactly like a stock car from the outside.
