either way you cut it its not stock especially bone stock. evena different air filters amkes it no longer "bone stock"

what you should have said was...

"Only mods done were ..."

It sounds like a small displacment gp bike. The shift assist is nice. That's gotta add to the et abilities of the bike, especially for the less than pro rider.

Did you check out the Cycle World masterbike shootout?? the beemer won it overall, with a full 2 seconds over the next literbike on the roadcourse.

I wonder what time it would run if it wasn't stretched, lowered and had an exhaust.

It's a short stroke motor, and makes rediculous power up top. The akra exhaust (slip-on) for the bike brings the BONE STOCK power plant up to about 186 wheel. They rape ZX14s and Busa's in stock form.

My buddy had the first one in the country, given to him by BMW. The bike is a beast, and pricing isn't bad.

I would of jumped ship already, but I would never buy a 1st year anything. BMW basically BOUGHT an '05/'06 Suzuki 1K, disassembled it, and improved everything.

A little reverse German engineering for once LOL.

it's won most of the other shootouts, so its understandable. I'd take the RSV4 over any other literbike right now

yea but there wasn't anyone there to set the susp for the GSX-R 1000 it was spinning and sliding in turn 16 i believe they wrote and the rider wanted more rear reboubd but they told him to just make a few more laps were as there was a rep there to tune the susp on all the other bikes still none the less the BMW is killer they did a great job building the bike and i can't wait to see next years GSX-R and how the BMW does in the AMA superbike series this year granted thats more of a bike and driver combo that takes it i'm sure they can hire a hella rider

punctuation please.. Considering the GSXR got either 7th or 8th (don't recall at the moment) out of the 9 bikes, i don't know how much a little suspension adjustment would have changed its ranks.

BONE STOCK it's gone 9.51 @ 152MPH if I recall.

Regardless, running in the 8s with an ARM, and a slip on exhaust is rediculous. Not worth everyone huffing over a few SMALL mods.

You can swap an arm out in a half hour, and bolt a slip-on exhaust on in another 20 minutes. Big whoop. Bike runs hard Period.
