Thumbs up Build Pics

What's up everyone. I know I don't post much in here since I am in the military. And when I am not at work, I am at home working on my project. I just wanted to throw some pictures on here to show what I got going on here in Houston. Just bored here at work on duty. Car should be done this fall. I am doing everything by myself in my garage on the ground. It's a 1997 Camaro Z28. Previously had an LT1 and now I am dropping in an LS motor. Anyways... here is what I got, LQ9 408 stroker. Trick flow 225cc heads, FAST 92mm Intake, Nick Williams 92mm TB, custom voodoo cam and 1.7 rockers, Lingenfelter 100mm MAF, FAST 42lbs injectors, Fast Toys 104mm air lid, ATI Damper, Mezeire electric water pump, manual rack and pinion, TCI magnet starter, and the suspension is all from BMR (a-arms, k-member, control arms, etc.., etc..). The tranny is stock 4L60E but rebuilt with a TCI 3000 stall. I've got a BMR torque arm relocation kit with adj. torque arm going to a Strange S60 w/35 inch spline axles w/3.73 gears. Custom valve covers from my engine builder (Golen Engine Service) w/Thunder Racing coil pack relocation kit. Custom tune by PCM For Less. (Thanks Bryan!!). Sorry so long, but that's what I'm working on. I will post some pics of what I've done so far. Now I will hopefully be able to at least keep up with the Houston streets. Later guys!!

LOL. I hope so.... It's at 11:5:1 built for spray. Some other mods I forgot to list were, a custom dual catch can set-up from Lawnboy (thanks Walter, looks great), and a true dual exhaust from Texas Speed, dumped before the axles.

Nice man! So did you get the Trickflow combo or just the heads?

Nevermind, I see the voodoo cam...

It wasn't bad at all. Just very pricey. I had the company Speartech make the wiring harness plug and play for $500, the new LS K-member from BMR was around $600, and that was pretty much the biggest hurddles. Then buying all the damn sensors. Those were expensive as well. I am using the factory fuel lines since it has a return line in it, and using the factory connectors from the LT1 fuel rail as well. That way it will be easy to snap them right on. Then just routing the fuel lines to thier proper locations(regulator and such). I am having some difficulty hooking up my 100mm MAF. Lingenfelter said it needed to be hooked up with no bends in the hoses to the TB. I did buy the 104mm Air Lid from Fast Toys, but I am not sure if it will work. So I might have to come up with a custom air intake set-up. We'll see how it goes. Thanks for the compliments guys.

I see your in Houston as well. Where do you all meet up on the weekends? I have an 03' Lightning as my daily as well. I used to go to the Kemah meets here and there, but I don't think they have that going on anymore.

Very cool.

I am planning to buy a hardtop, M6 93-97 Z28 to do an LS swap in. Just need to find the right one.

If you are in Houston and looking for the car scene, check out www.houstonperformancedriving.com A lot of cool people and fun events.

Sweet. When are you planning on buying that hardtop? If soon, let me know and I can help with the swap, if you want. I will check out that site. Thanks man!
