Porsche has the GT3/GT3RS, ferrari has the 360 challenger stradle/430 Scuderia, mercedes has the CLK 63 AMG black and lamborghini has the gallardo superleggera.

The last track oriented bmw was the, 04 CSL? Time for something new.

Maybe you don't frequent track days much SlowFRC?

On any given day, there are handfulls, and handfulls of cars like these, driven a few times a year, and put back in the garage.

Just because it's a track car, doesn't mean it gets the snot beat out of it.

Ya, if you've built a dedicated track car for a specific class, it will be destroyed.

I know lots of people, with endless money. And most people with 8 high end cars in their garage (I hate to say) don't even look at a Corvette, or a Viper. If you've got the money, you want something no one else has got.

Other than the occasional autox I haven't really gone to any other HPDEs at all, you're right. I would go more but as a recent college grad money is a little tight for $200+ track days, otherwise i'd be all over it.

I guess the exclusivity factor is there and the car is already track ready so you don't have to do any work getting it there. I would assume that the guy who turns his own wrenches wouldn't be getting this car, just a guess though.

Any ring times for this car out yet?
