Jeez...
Im thinking he was doing some aggresive driving, and was just taking it a car at a time. Then came up on the cop car and when he realized it was a cop car, he probably panicked and just lost it.
I guess his throttle could have stuck, but the report said he was passing people at a high rate of speed before the accident. He could have shut it down or kicked it into neutral very easily if that was the case. This isnt a toyota...nothing fancy. Turn off key..no more vroom vroom.
Tough lesson to learn.

It was probably a suicide attempt since he had just been arrested on drug charges...he didnt want to go back to jail.
Its clearly a Trans Am...not a V6 car. Look at the hood, the ground effects and stripes.

Seems it was a base firebird v6. He was also arrested prior to the incident.

He was put into custody on the drug charges, but was released 10-15 minutes before his crash. He was in a parking lot with a 15yr old girl. Girl's father came to get her, and the cops found an unopened alcohol container, weed, and smoking paraphanalia.
I took it as they released him on the spot...after he passed the field sobriety. Probably cutting him a break as they often do if you cooperate and dont act like an idiot.
He also had a history of speeding and reckless driving apparently.
And yeah..thats a TA. Also, if it appeared to be a base v6 car, that doesnt mean that it was still a v6. Some of us like to hide things under fading paint and aged 80's styling Besides, my Jeep can do 110-120 with ease. Most cars that arent just a small 4 banger can.
I doubt it was more than just speeding, reckless behavior.

They didn't have pics when I posted that silly goose, I just saw the blur blast by in the video with a base model wing and assumed it was a base car. However yes those pictures show a TA hood with the non convex "turbo" wheels. Can anyone spot if it was a LG4 or LB9?
