Wow. So I guess you should never drive next to an 18 wheeler or dump truck because there's a shitload of metal on them and if one comes in contact with your car you're pretty much SOL... Better off just staying indoors...

But indoors the air isnt as fresh so you need to breath from an oxygen tank.
Then there is the roof that could fall. OH NOEZ.

I was mistaken. This is a street car, not a race car. Sorry about the mistake folks. I'll head back into my shell now so I don't get hit with any truck metal.

I don't even know why the guy put a cage in the car with Zac_Speed's logic. Why do such a thing? You're SOL anyhow. Wow is right...

My Logic is we should get Chevyweatherman one of those "retard" helmets to wear around... I'm not saying he's retarted, just he needs the protection from everything since it's just about as impossible as it is possible to kill yourself in the craziest ways.

Get my logic now?

Personal attacks will get you a vacation. Come back when you grow up a little, and learn to stay on topic.

Would like to know if this car was in Texas about a year ago. I swear he came by my restaurant to participate in a early morning poker run.

I can't say that car would pass for a "street car" according to the local authorities in VA, but still quite an achievement to say the least!
I agree. I'm not taking anything away from him what so ever. Driving a 6 second car on the street in the rain and then clicking off passes is a major accomplishment. It just isn't one of those every day street cars. It is something built specifically for drag week. Much like many racing classes have something called pro street or hot street. Things like that. Those cars wouldn't make it 2 seconds on the street, but it is a pro STREET car.

Badass car, it put in the miles, and clicked off a 6.xx pass. That says something for a well-built, quick-*** build!!! I'm not gonna argue anything about street car or not, the guy has guts (and surely a lot of money in it too)!

To clear any confusion the engine in the car is a 565 CI BBC with twin 88mm turbos running 30+ PSI on the track. I know a lot about the car and know Larry really well and have been been to the shop, and to his house for Thanksgiving dinner because he
happens to be my girlfriend's grandpa.

The car IS 100% street legal. It runs d.o.t tires to and from the track, has working lights / turn signals / has current tags / radio and he DOES drive it to work / daily drive it when he wants to and it runs on pump gas

And the best part? He's taken me for rides

Last Larry told me on 15-16 lbs it was around 1,600. 30 psi would easily be 2k

That's pretty nuts to daily drive a car with bars surrounding your head. He falls into the same category as motorcycles riders who don't wear helmets. More power to him though!
