Ok guys not to take away from the pictures but I am in the process of getting new rims and tires for my car. As of right now it just has aftermarket 17x9.5 z06 wheels. I dont like how they sit in the fender so far in the back compared to the front.
I want them to be relatively flush with the top of the fender well. I know that comes down to the backspacing of the rim, and if I could afford nice customs rims with the exact backspacing you need built for you I would get them!
But being a poor college student that leaves my options limited. Since the reproduction wheels are affordable I think ive decided on getting some new z06 rims that are 18x10.5 for the back. These have a 58mm offset.
So my main question is... ive seen quite a few of you guys running 10.5 wide corvette rims with 315's. Is your offsets 58mm or close to that.. and if they are did you have issues with rubbing and what did you have to do to fix it. In all my searching it seems so diverse from people saying they fit no problem to people say its a huge undertaking to make them fit.
For and example..... youngrigos car

has the same rim size specs as I want.... Did you have to pound out the fender wheels put a wheel spacer on it etc.
Any info/suggestions from you guys would of course be greatly appreciated!
and love the pics! 315's are where its at, I dont care how old this thread is keep em' comming

You can run a 315 on a 10.5 rim , I do know that, but as far as rubbing i dont know.Did you lower your car, If you did you might have a problem with it rubbing and cutting your back tires.

Yah I have strano springs on it which brings it down about 1.5" So I most likely would have some issues. Im just trying to figure out how that 18x10.5 corvette rim with the 58mm offset will fit in the fenderwell. If its going to stick to far out or be to far in still..... I guess im going to have to rig up some sort of tool that will show where the wheel will sit before I go and spend all the money on them.
