Make money AND get better stuff? WIN
Sold my Repro. 17x9.5 rims (chrome) and p255/45r17 (no name rubber) for $1200.00. And bought some p265/45r17 front (firestone firehawks, 90% wear left) and p295/35r18 (firestone firehawks with 90% wear left) on gunmetal OEM Z06 rims, with all lugs/caps and wheel locks for $800.00
Make $400, get bigger and nicer rims = WIN
Going to look sweet, mounting them Sat :

Got a good look at them last night when home, coated in rim polish and bagged em up for Saturday install
Rims near mint (odd little nick), tires have 75-90% tread remaining. Tires are Firestone Firehawk Wide Ovals. Also very very light rims my gosh!
Going to look mint on there!

Chrome always looked cheap to me, and from the back a 9.5 with 255 rubber looked like an elephant on stilts.
Id rather OEM rims, and I originally wanted gunmetal but aftermarket did not make them. So now I got what I wanted and made 400$ doing it.

I have that exact same setup. I got mine from OEwheelsLLC.com they are a sponsor on here. I dought they are OEM they look exactly like mine and I believe that the real OEM Z06 wheels are a darker gray color. I could also be wrong I am not an expert.

Agreed, I like the chrome better too. Nothing cheap looking about chrome, IMO.
The problem with the previous setup was only the tire size. 255s have no business on a 9.5" wide wheel. 275 should be the minimum width considered for that size, IMO, with 285 looking perfect.
The new tires certainly look better though.
