I want these updates now... I wish my camera had batteries in it... I did some pretty nice flames if i do say so myself... Got a black car with some red flake in it! THe only bad thing i see with an airbrush is you have to go way far away from everything because the overspray is terrible! Idk how may things i had to repaint or touch up because of overspray!

Okay here you go. Started painting the suspension components to match mine which are a combination of BMR, UMI and Hotchkis items. The chassis was painted and will soon be further detailed. I detailed a bit more the engine with some dry brushing.

Im digging the springs man i didnt think about doing that lol! Heads up on the torque arm, it doesnt have a spot to be glued to towards the front of the vehicle so unless you have some really strong glue it wont stay... I used gorilla glue on that piece and it fell off two days later. Engine looks good! I ran into a problem with two other major components too i want to warn you about. The throttle body does not line up with the bellows so it takes some convincing to get it to seat right and you may end up scratching one or the other or both.. Second: the "Interior" parts, the big piece you glue to the body, there is two holes that you need to put like dowel pin type things in... On my kit they were not even... So i had to drill out one of the holes a little bit offset so it would allow the body to sit flush.

Oh and dont drop your like i did... I hate myself for that lol so one of my fenders' paint is slightly off as well...

Other than that it looks good! Keep it up!

LOL, glad im not alone in building one of these. I have been stopped on mine for a while now but eventually it'll be finished. I left my springs white to give the "Strano Spring" appearance, lol. I wish i still had my hoard of model parts i had before i got married. I had a ton of wheels, exhaust pieces, engine pieces, nitrous bottles, ect... But the wife deemed those trash when we moved years ago.

Further detailed the chassis with some dark wash and dry brushing. Rear suspension complete and mocked up over chassis. Engine mounted along with water hoses, radiator and electric fans.

Update: Interior

So Im completing the interior and its details. The kit's details are quite good for this scale but I added a few things. First the color I had to mix with a little neutral gray and black to get a charcoal hue similar to the OEM color. I added the headrest's belt guides and painted the door panel's details. A lot of these details may not be visible once the model is completed but at least I have fun doing them!

Great detail work so far! I am working on a 1/24 scale Revell Camaro clone.
Using a pin head for the shift **** would be a nice touch sort of look like a mba-style ****. I used a maroon one on mine and I'm sure you could find one with a polished head to match yours. Are you planning on lowering it a bit?

Looks awesome, I've got a 69 Dodge charger I've been working on. It's got a base coat clear coat on it lol. Pretty much what you get on a car at an expensive paint shop. So the paint is like glass, but it's a resto mod not many mods really.

looks awesome, i did a model to match my car, took me forever and turned out great until my 4 year old neice somehow reached it, completly tore it to pieces, she also got ahold of my bagged s-10 with an escalade front end with everything shaved, caddy tailights, layed frame on big wheels, tv's, system, it was really nice, and she also broke the 69 coronet i made to look like my dads, boy was i pissed

So on your scale model, you're going to have the doors unlocked at all times? Seems a lil' unsafe if you ask me.
