Stock 3Vs don't trap 107mph, and races don't just happen at the track. I can imagine a modded V6 (especially an auto) would be pretty damn easy to launch, so I think they are gonna do well on the streets.

Stock LT1s go 13.3 @ 106mph routinely? I know there's been a few '96-'97 LT1 SS's that have done that, but "the LT1s" doesn't exactly cover that. Most LT1s are mid-high 13s cars at best, and trap 100-102mph. The entire point of this thread was to show that with a few choice parts, this new V6 Mustang can disappoint quite a few people on the street or at the track.

It's not necessarily that you buy it to mod it... but if you buy it because you like it and you want a little more punch, $1,000 will get you pretty damn far it seems.

In average conditions, yes. In the conditions that the Mustang in question ran in, I've seen several stock LT1s (years ago) run 13.4-13.5 @ 106/107. So again, in those conditions, most of todays performance cars need not worry about modded V6 Mustangs. Just to hit the point home a little more, that Mustang is running about 1/2 second faster and 4-5mph faster than typical conditions solely due to the magic air around here this time of year, the same air ALL ENGINES will breathe.

You're absolutely right Marc... there is nothing special or impressive at all about a V6 Mustang with a few bolt-ons and gears running 13.2 @ 108mph

I have no doubt that in regular air we will be seeing bolt on V6's hitting high 12s/low 13s. Hell this one was still on the stock tires wasn't it? That's leaving a good bit on the table still. Is it the fastest car out there? Hell no, but this is a V6 Mustang we are talking about and those are some DAMN impressive numbers.
