Thats pretty darn impressive. Throw a nice stall converter in there and some drag radials and its going 12s with no problem. Even sounds good!

And to all the LT1 nutswingers- Really? low 13s stock? Thats like the Mach 1 guys saying they hit 12s stock Just accept the fact that ford has finally come around and produced some mustangs that dont need a blower to go fast

Even I must know? I am WELL aware that there are some good-performing N/A V6s out there. I am also WELL aware that until now, none of the big 3 made one that was worth a damn. Hence why I was responding initially to THIS comment, which is obviously talking about the V6 Mustang/Camaro.

Car and Driver ran a stock LT1 to 13.6 @106, so what's your point?

They ran a '97 LT1 SS to a 13.6 @ 106mph, and it's been discussed here time and time again how those seem to be quicker than other LT1 F-bodies. I didn't realize you'd be this bothered by a V6 Mustang running these times.

This. I don't get why an LS1 owner is pissy about a V6 Mustang being faster than a LT1?

Hell, it should be tit for tat since the 5th Gen Camaro V6 cars are probably faster than the 4.6 2V GT's

Hell, I think the 3.8 cars that were out at the same time as the 96-98 2V 4.6 were just as quick (err slow) as them haha.

Because unlike a few of you in this thread, I know firsthand how ALL cars in general run at that track. EVERYTHING runs quicker and faster here. The V6 Mustang time, taken in context, will not hurt many feelings. I bet if I posted a video of a 2011 GT running low 14s at Bandimere you would think there is something wrong with it...

It's a $23k car new, and some people like new cars.
