Default **Motorcycle Content** ZX-14... The Quest for the 9 Second ET!

I'm posting this video because I love the way it shows that you don't have to be a professional to produce quality racing videos, and that you don't have to have the fastest car in order for people to want to watch your videos. This video could just as easily be made about a group of friends with mildly modded cars, on their quest to be the first one to grab the 'elusive' 12 second timeslip...

Does anyone have a link to a really well-produced, amateur drag racing video?

Very cool video no doubt. A lot better than most "amateur" videos Ive seen. Who ever made it must have some experience.

On the other side, the video shows/names some pro riders, as well as having Rickey Gadson in the tags. So you might not need the fastest car to get views and responses, but having pro's and good footage definitely helps.

if you cant get a ZX-14 in the 9's you need a different rider.

Agreed, I thought they were mid-9 bikes with a good rider. Not really sure why this was posted, it was an ok video but what makes it so good in your eyes? It's just like most other videos but they added in the guy talking, and the "You don't have to have the fastest car if you want people to watch" statement seems odd when you are posting a video of one of the fastest production bikes.

Point taken.

I guess what I'm saying can be summed up in these videos:

#1 Great car, VERY fast, but poorly edited video (lots of down time, no information on the car, etc):

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v_8ZSx73dYA

#2 - Amazing car, with professional-level cinematography and editing:

#3 - The next video shows a fast truck, with footage and editing that could be done by 'amateurs' with a little experience, produced in a way that makes it a lot more enjoyable to watch. It's a video of just one guy's car, documenting his experience with drag racing. It's a pretty extensive video with a lot of footage over a long time, but a similar, much shorter video could be produced using footage from just a few nights at the track, or even one single night.

So, my point is that I'd like to see more cars like video #1 made with the effort put into video #3. That's all!
