Definitely not the same caliber compared to the usual NRE stuff. If Tom's projects were rockets, this would be a bottle rocket sitting amongst ICBM's.

I pinned the sound! That car sounds JUST like the cars off of the San Francisco RUSH arcade game.

I wouldn't doubt he's built some 4th gen engines but none are on the site or that I've seen.

450 RWHP is what they make with any turbo kit on the stock motor. I was hoping to see a built motor car. Not impressed with the power output but the car its self is nice.

They also built an LT1 C4 that was originally a Callaway super natural.

They did do a TT 4th gen Trans. They had to modify the throttle so the engine would only go 50% wot because it was too much power for the customer.

Man, are there any decent looking exhaust for these "import" cars?

They all look like absolute ****, ruins the back of the car...

Sick of the "I ran over Megaman and kept his arm cannon" look.

Agreed 100%. Two smaller tips coming straight out the back would be WAY better, the only time I like the 45 degree angle is when it's just one tip coming out of the back of the car. Like this-

Having the tips so close together makes it that much worse too.

Run any big power import car and you'll see why they need the large exhaust. Its not for looks or sound so much, its more for function and breathability.

If there was a small exhaust that would allow me to make over 850rwhp safely I would be one of the first guys to get it.

As for the actual video I have to say good on NRE for doing something out of their MO. They are used to working on big blocks but actually took time to build an import. But I agree with a couple that like all their domestic products they should go big.

Hahahaha mega man! I always thought the same thing lol.
But seriously theres gotta be more exhaust options than that
for imports.

The exhaust the G37 in that vid has is way too much for his setup. A stillen or megan exhaust would be better and actually look good. This is an example of a good exhaust for his setup:

On the other hand, a car like mine making big power needs an exhaust with the most flow. The 4 inch straight pipe gives the best flow and allows me to make the most power.

I'm sorry, but thats the worst argument I've ever heard.

There are plenty of cars on this site making more power than that, flowing better, and have better looking exhausts (even dumped is better, or a catback style muffler like we use with tips, even C5/C6 style mufflers.)

The 45 degree angle **** is like "YO DAWG I MAKE SO MUCH POWUH THAT I HAD TO HAVE THIS BIG OF A MUFFLER BUT IT DOESN'T FIT SO GOOD, OH WELL I FAST!"

That's because those guys have dual exhaust, it's a little hard to get the same flow as two 2.5"/3" pipes with one, don't you think? And I think putting a dual style on an inline engine is retarded unless it came with it (SC300), I'm guessing you feel the same way. Dumped is only for people that don't want to hear anything other than their LOUD exhaust when driving, most people don't like that.

They build cars for customers. The customer probably didn't want to afford it or want the power for a street/DD. Its fun to build everything big, but it is not always real world.

I don't think its so much the size of the exhaust that bothers most, but rather the angle, location and how much it sticks out. Is it hard to tuck up and be more subtle with it?
I never understood why people don't just do setups like this:
