check it out, 280zx turbo
so my girls mom has a 83 datsun zx turbo that shes had sitting for awhile now. i kept bugging her to let me check it out. so awhile ago i went to go see it... it was in poor shape, it was under a tree where sap had worked its way under the cover, flat tires, and the brakes were all locked up. so one day her mom called and asked if it was possible to get it running again, long story short a cold case and a long afternoon and she was running again. i also detailed the car as a birthday present for her. well enough of the talking here are the pics.
i loved the gauges, this car was way ahead of the curve!
and i want door inlays like this for my formula!
LOL at the "do not race engine for more than one minute" on the visor
sorry for the bad boost picture.

Such a nice young man for helping her bring that car back to life! lol.
And thanks for posting these pics, that is a fine looking Datsun! Although damn, I'll probably be reminded of my age for knowing what Datsun is, lol.
The gauges are cool, especially for 1983 (certainly an epic achievement at that time considering my brand-new car is still analog), but back in those days the displays were so slow to update that you would be at redline long before the dash ever told you so.
Their door inlays were awesome, stamped, stitched, and pocketed. The dash and steering wheel and center console are all cheap plastic, but still looks great!
That car is in excellent shape. What does she keep in the garage while this thing has been out in the yard under a tree?!?
