I'm racing a buddie's new SRT 392 soon with my cam-only SS. I'll post a vid. My buddy drove mine and rode in his and he said it'll be a good run. I believe the SRT 392's trap around 115 so we'll see.

Honestly, you could've used some help modding that c5.

Guy at work has a cammed srt-8 charger. I think its a '08. Ran a 13.0 at Royal Purple Raceway.

Seems like the only thing Mopar has that runs worth a **** are srt-8 jeeps and viper trucks.

About what I expected. The R/T was probably making more power to the wheels than the SS, but the 700-800lb weight disadvantage caused him to get druggggeddd

I took down a 6.1 M6 SRT8 with the same mods as my car (LTs, no cats, intake, Diablo tune), AND I had an extra 200lbs in my car. Went from 60 to 120, he hit it first and jumped out about a car and a half, by 120 I had a fender on him. Not at all impressed with those cars as far as performance goes, but they would make nice sporty family sedans. They should have just offered a M6 transmission in the Chargers and waited to come out with a lighter Challenger, the pigs just don't do it for me.

Whenever I'm ripped for the choices I've made, I always consider the source. Be happy to donate some cash as it appears you are walking and in need of some shoe leather. My cars are daily drivers and my only source of transportation, so I can't let them sit in some shop for weeks or months so I can have a race engine. FWIW that 12 second run was in 90*+ weather on street tires. Even at sea level those conditions are not conducive to exceptional times.

I ran the exact same times in my old full weight 99 Z28, 6 speed, longtubes true duals and 3.73s (no tune, lid, or LS6 intake). I ran 12.66 @ 112 worse air (like 2000+) with the lid, ls6 intake and tune, all that on $70 245 street tires, again, on a 6 speed. Your C5 was a turd.

Buddy with a mild head cam package, can't hardly tell a cam is in it, with a small 2800 stall... and imo less than optimal setup, runs high 7s@high 80mph in his challenger. For the weight hat isn't too bad imo. Would take a full bolt on ls1 to not have to worry too much... I think he could get it to where it would take a decent cam only car to run with him... and he is FULL weight, its a boat.

If hes running 13.0 with a cammed SRT8 then he should just sell the car. Thats that same time they run bone stock, some have gone even quicker.
