Default TT427 Corvette hood chop

Here's a quick chop a buddy of mine did for me. I have an extra hood and I'm considering doing this rather than putting a big cowl hood on my Vette to clear an intake. Yay or nay?

I don't really care for cowl hoods on Vettes.

I just think hackin up the hood will take alot away from its appearance, but its to each their own.

That looks pretty bad.

That's definitely something I'd wince at if I saw it driving around.

Why you would consider this an option I will never understand . Do it right and buy
a hood to fit it correctly .

If you have an extra hood, or have the cash to get a 'cheapy' hood from a junk yard to do some experimenting on - go for it.
Otherwise, i think it'll stick out like a sore thumb, and not in a good way.
Not to mention the hole in your hood will be a collector for a variety of things you
probably don't want in your engine bay. Nice fleet/stable btw, I'm sure they're all fun to drive. Good luck!

haha, no love for cutting it. I do have an extra hood so I'm going to try it and see what happens. I dislike cowl hoods on corvettes very much.

Would like kinda weird if the intake was hanging around out there. C5s look good with little cowl induction hood keeping the same design

if you have an extra hood do it. I think it might look better if the intake was black.
