Too bad they couldn't figure out that police cars need column shifters, or better yet, push button shifters on the dash like the old Corvairs. I think that mistake is going to hurt sales big time.

I guess I'm in the minority but I the way it looks better than the G8. A nice set of wheels and a little tint and I think it will look damn good, not quite Impala SS, but close. The G8 always looked like it was trying to be something that it wasn't - a Pontiac. Same for the GTO.

This is supposed to be a little bit plain looking. It's for the police, not civilians (yet?), and supposed to somewhat blend in when used for undercover cops so it has to look somewhat generic.
I agree they could have made it look a little spiffier for sure, but then, that might defeat the purpose if they make it too eye-catching.

You have to remember this thing has to appeal to everyone not just us go fast guys and as long as the base model sells then they will offer a more race inspired version if not then its gone all together, plus how many of us leave our cars stock anyways?
On a side note i think once you flip those manifolds and get rid of the air box a 76mm turbo would fit just right.

From what I understand, there are currently no plans to make this car available to consumers.
I kinda like it. It could use a manual and slight tweaks to the interior and exterior styling though.
