I just listened to it again now that I'm home.
Does he KNOW that he's talking out of his rearend and he thinks he's impressing the guy? or..
I mean, I don't know the weight of a CAPRICE SEDAN.. (rims do not change what your car is buddy.. if that were the case I'd have a camaro "SS") but with rod knock like that, and only stock to stock swap parts.. he's REALLY optimistic to think that thing can hang with an ls6... even stock.
I mean what's the weight on a car like that? 4200?

I'm the owner of the z06 they are talking about in the video. This guy is hilarious. He told me he had 475 rwhp (told op he had about 420), 3.73 axels, eatron truetrac rear posi and a transmission that can handle 800hp built by none other than... wait for it... wait for it... waaaaaaaaaaaaaait for it...
...
Nascar. Yup. The same Nascar that instantly came to your mind. Even though they use manual transmissions.
He then said he would take me because I've only got 381 wheel and that he ran a 12.3 in the 1/4. That's after he told the OP he ran a 13 flat. He said he'd take me off the line and I'd probably pass him at around 130. I then told him I ran an 11.1 in the 1/4 (by the way that's a complete lie - I've never had a chance to get to the track and I know for a fact I wouldn't run an 11.1. I'd guess that with an experienced track driver the car would probably be capable of 11.5 at the absolute best. I just wanted to see what he'd say). He said "Oh that's kind of fast... Well you'd beat me off the line but I'd fly by you after 120." Completely switched around what he said. Unlike the OP who was egging him on I just think this guy is a complete tool and was subtly trying to call him out.
We then discussed his camshaftS. That's right multiple. Apparently he has four of them. He said he was cammed so I said "Oh you're dual overhead cam right? You've got four cams?" and I think because I know a bit about cars (not that much honestly, but if you get into technical stuff I'm not lost. I know what all the major parts of an engine are, trans, diff, suspension, brakes and I know how many cams that LT1s have [hint: it's one]) and he agreed that yeah he has four. I asked him what durations and he said big. So I replied "How big? Like a 110 LSA 246/252?" His reply: "Bigger" Sweet brah.
UNFORTUNATELY he refuses to race me because he needs new tires because he spins up to 100mph - it's those 3.73 axels man. He won't even race my Cavalier or the OPs Grand Vitara.
P.S - Fran I told him you would sponsor him if he ran a 12 flat and give him thousands of dollars worth of free engine work and parts.
