Cool Night Shoot (resized pics!)

It's been a while since I've posted some shots of my car. I used a crappy point and shoot camera, so it's a little grainy, and you can see the white TA bumper I picked up poking into the passenger seat area...

Anyways, here goes nothing:

Yep, LED. I got it from eBay. I'll try to scrounge up the link/info later. It's a side-facing single-LED 194 replacement.

What the hell point and shoot camera did you use to get those? I've never seen a p&s that would even take a night shot of good enough quality to classify as "shitty" and your shots are very very decent.

It's a Panasonic DMC TZ5, the very definition of Point and Shoot. It has a "Starry Night" preset that allows you to choose 3 shutter speeds: 15 seconds, 30 seconds, and 60 seconds. No white balance options, ISO/aperture/exposure control, etc. LOL.

Here is what it looks like. As you can see, it's most certainly looks like a "crappy point and shoot"...

I used Photoshop to touch up these pics (but did not crop them). The first 3 didn't have much (if any) editing done. Here is an original vs. the modified:
Original -

Modified -

You can see how bringing up the brightness also brought out the color noise...

Regardless, nice shots, nice photoshop work, and must be a pretty decent camera for a point and shoot.

Very cool.

Guessing you did use a tripod?

Thanks. I'm still well overdue for a DSLR - but car purchases have been getting in the way since 2008, haha. I did indeed use a tripod for these pics.
