heads are PRC ls6 ported heads and cam is 232/236 114 lsa

Make sure you're importing in 1080p mode. Not sure how it's done in iMovie, but in Premiere, when you start a new project it will ask you what settings you want your sequence rendered in. You may also want to make sure you're outputting to 1080p.
