Well I put some 1 7/8" lt's on the car (deleted cats), rest of exhaust stock. I love how it sounds as is because it has some bark at wot but is quiet in the cab as it was stock at cruise rpms. Some of my friends think I need to swap the mufflers etc, but I like it as is. What do you guys think?

i think it sounds good, my vote would be borla stingers, love how those sound, my buddy just got them on his vette and it sounds great,im also a big fan of magnaflow, imo they sound great on the 5th gens

I just don't want any interior drone. The stock mufflers use an internal j-pipe on the l99 and I am worried that replacing them will cause a lot more interior noise. Thanks for the comment.

Sounds pretty good to me...I liked my stock cat-back behind my Kooks 1-7/8s/catless on my H-C-I GTO. Then I got Kooks axlebacks and the car got ridiculous...actually thinking of throwing the stock muffs back on...minimal power loss on the GTOs.

If you want no drone, Corsa is the best bet...not sure if they have both the Sport and the Touring for the 5th Gens, but the Touring will sound the best catless...Sport is too raspy, IMO. I've had the Sport on my Z71 for years and there is no drone whatsoever inside.

Yeah the gen5's don't really gain anything power wise from a catback, its all volume. I prolly am just gonna put that money towards a vararam tune model.

Yeah I'd put the $$ towards a power-adding mod...you can always change over to an axle-back if you get bored w/ the sound.

BTW, nice times w/ that L99 car.
