Yeah...didn't you say it was by my house? There are some disgusting potholes in my neighborhood. I want to see this thing in person. There may have been some construction workers down in that hole, considering the amount of damage...

Lesson learned here. From watching the video it looks like the race was set up, since the 5.0 was sitting and waiting for you. Having that in mind, if I were to run a car in a set up race, one of the things I may do, along with those that may go out with me, would be to scout the road I might be racing on. That's would normally be common practice if I were to go out and race.

That sucks but you need a better camera man next time. His safety is of no concern. He should 100% always be focused on getting a good shot.

You can go after whatever state county is in charge of those roads. Something similar happened to a friend of mine, pothole popped his tire and bent his rim, they bought him a new tire and rim and believed they paid out some cash too.

I know several people who have been reimbursed by the city due to poor road maintenance.
It's worth looking into.

Just don't use the video as evidence. Also since you were probably well over the speed limit I would re hesitant to contact the city. If you were driving normal I would say get them to cover it. Seeing as that wasn't the case you might want to bite the bullet because legal fees might get the best of you.

Id go for it. With that kind of damage, I'm not sure that speed was a huge factor. And there is a lot more damage than just the rim.
