Although I'm sure some would tell you to "gtfo with your non ls1 trash" I'm sure there are many like me who like to see other cars especially vipers. It gets old looking at ls1s all of the time and the guys over on the viper forums seem to be a little...shall we say....mentally insufficient. It would be nice to hear a viper review from a tech guy and not just someone who bought it to attention *****.

I figured I'd post in the multimedia exchange section because it wasn't vehicle specific. I've been through so many LSX cars I can't see straight. I'm a member of Corvette, Boxster, 911, Buick and LS boards. The people are so different on every board, it cracks me up. I believe car guys love all cars regardless of make or model. If I'm awake I'm looking at, thinking about, or dreaming about cars. My wife says it's an obsession, she's right. By the way, I know you meant you are not one to say "GTFO with non LS1 trash". It just had me thinking that's all.

Gaunt already posted a picture thread. I guess he didn't do a review though. The more the better though. I wish more former techers who moved up to better cars would post. It seems like most of the non mods who get out of an ls car just leave, I can't say I blame them though.

OP did you check out Grundys like I mentioned earlier? The savings on my ws6 was about 800 a year.

After my agent told me it was only 600 a year to insure the 911 I haven't looked back. This is with 100 comp and 500 collision deductible. There are no mileage limits or anything like that, I'm good with it.

Here it is coming off the truck. I had a couple of nice surprises, it has a short shifter, and a kick *** stereo system. Somebody spent a small fortune on the audio system. It has a back up camera and the system is amazing.

This first picture made me nut, I was pretty excited.

That is a very nice ride...congrats.

The weather was good enough here today that I took my Viper out for a little leg-stretching...I can't complain at all about the winter around here this year.

I know, can you believe the day we had today? I couldn't have asked for a nicer day in February. My wife and I drove around all afternoon.

Thanks, getting the windows tinted tomorrow at 10am and in the next week or so I'm having the exhaust, air cleaner, and tune done. It's supposed to be 498 HP and 503 Ft Tq to the wheels. I know the clutch is not going to make it very long. Right now it only reaches .6 bar, after the tune it should be 1-1.2 bar.

It's pretty quick right now, it's strange because it feels quicker than my 11.80 Corvette did, but they are just such different cars. The Vette felt violent, burning the tires half way down the quarter mile. The 911's tires don't even squeak, lol, man it hauls *** though.

I know this isn't a Porsche site, but I like the people on here so I try to find a forum thread to post on this site with my dyno results.

I hear you on the power difference. My M5 feels much faster than my last formula that i had but it had 50 more rwhp and weighed less. The m5 just feels like its sucking your *** into the seat, the formula was loud tire smoking and smelled like gas.

Youll love the 911, my dad has a 95 carerra that he absolutely loves.

My god insurance in any other state is so much cheaper. That's awesome.

The car to Switzer next week for their L1 500 HP package, had the tint done today. All the windows are 35%, the front looks lighter but it's not. All the windows are pretty light actually.
