Why are all the Mods buying vipers? lol Might as well just change the name of the forum.

Sweet car, too!

We have seen the light

When I went to buy mine, it was between that and a C6ZO6. The Viper had been a childhood dream of mine, and although the price was a bit of a stretch, I decided to make a dream come true. It was either that or continue down the road I was on modding my Camaro, and even that only had so much potential. I think seeing guys put down numbers in the upper 500s/low 600s at the wheels with headers, a ported intake manifold and a plug and play PCM was enough to sell me on the Gen IV Viper. That, and it has VTAK!!!!

hate to say it, but those wheels dont do it for me on the car though... is it just me?

beautiful car though no matter what.. you could wrap it around a pole and itd still be a beaut.

I like that color.

I prefer the sound of corvettes over the viper. Maybe someone could post a video and change my mind?

I like the sound of a V8 over the V10 too actually. It's not bad now (stock). But from what I have heard of modded Vipers...it gets worse with exhaust mods.

It really isn't bad, it's just somehow disappointing compared to the styling and performance. It's like it's stuck deciding between american muscle and exotic, combining the rasp and harshness from both and leaving the tone at the door. I could learn to love it, but I wouldn't ever rev at anyone.

This one actually reminds me of what you would get if you stuck two b16's inline and fired it up.

I dont think they sound all that bad. No worse than a lsx car with longtubes, no cats and dumps/bullets

Op I'm somewhat considering the two cars you've owned/own C6z and gen 2 viper. Can you give a more in depth comparison of the two?

I didn't really plan out my shots too well and kinda forgot to get close ups, good 3/4 shots, and rear shots. We were in a not so nice neighborhood too so I was a bit preoccupied every time a car pulled up next to us.

They are very different cars.

The Z06 can be driven every day, and is faster/better performer in every measurable category.

The Viper is just jaw dropping. It's angry, it's silly, it's drunk with power. In the two weeks of Viper ownership I've had people stop their car and gawk. Take pictures. Have conversations with me. Never had that once with Z06.

So...choose wisely.

How is the lack of creature comforts working out for you? It seems that the reason most people jump ship from a viper because they're just too rough/uncivilized. Also so this question is more relevant, how much do you actually drive it?

OP, beautiful car. The blue with the white stripes is my favorite combo. This was my go to car in video games in the 90s lol. Im surprised a lot of guys are saying Viper over a C6Z. Ive never driven either so its certainly an eye opener. What model CCWs are those? Future mods for the car?

Do yourself a favor and don't drive either...the first time I drove a C6ZO6, it planted a seed of doubt in my mind as to whether or not I wanted to keep modding my '02 SS. After I drove the Viper...well, it isn't too hard to figure out what happened next. Both cars are fantastic, and light years beyond an f-body in every aspect. I never wanted to believe it until I spent some time in both.

Not a fan of the first picture, don't really see a point when only rocks are in focus. The rest look good though and it's a nice car for sure. I wish the C6Z/Viper arguing idiots would let that **** rest already. Stop bringing it up in any thread that has to do with one or the other, we don't care.

Agreed. Both of them are awesome cars.
