Daughters Barbie Jeep...Modded

1994 C4 Corvette
My wife picked this up today from her cousin, scored it for free. This bad boy is going to fly when I get done with it. 24 Volts baby!!! Its been sitting outside for years, I had to give it a bath before even bringing it into my garage. It was full of beetles and spyder webs. Some of these smaller ones were 6 volt and only had one motor, one wheel peel..LOL This one has a posi!! 2 motors means it is 12 volts. It had a spoiler on it, I already took it off, Corvettes look like **** with spoilers. Especially C4's. I am thinking a Black LT4 with Torch red interior tribute to daddys old Vette...
Ready for LS1 sawp..LOL
man I miss that car

That's pretty sweet. I thought about doing something to my daughters ride, but she just sideswiped a tree and knocked the mirror clear off. She can't stand the 2.5 MPH setting and only likes to go on the 5 MPH setting. But don't think she can quite handle anything faster right now.
Her ride is the 5th gen, not the HOSS.

Ok my first picture was our original collection, there were more but most of them were for parts, the only one that was actually bought is the Harley. The second is what the Vette looks like now, he wanted General Lee orange and I built a cowl hood to hold the extra batteries and it has a windshield off a truck, excuse the mess that was after Hurricane Ike and the house wasn't all back together yet. However his butt got to big and it's in the attic right now.

The shop where I got the motors for the jeep has the brushless motors. You have to have a controller for them as well. I may do that to the Vette. They are a direct fit for the 550 style motors. The only thing is making the stock pinon gear work. The shaft on the stock jeep motors were knureled and the gear pressed on. The new motors have a flat spot on the shaft and use a set screw. I had to drill and tap the stock gears for them to work on the new motors. I bought a 3 mm bit, tap, and set screws from the hobby store.

LOL, I bought my buddies daughter the same Jeep for her 2nd birthday... she is still to young to understand the connection between turning the wheel and where the Jeep goes, LOL, she is getting the hang of it in the basement, and I can wait to get her out on the road this Spring!!
