Yeah really LOL...it's a good race for a C6 Z06 maybe, but the C6 ZR1 should cover it no problem. Stock versus stock of course.

The quickest bone stock C6 ZR1 has run a best of 10.6@132+mph (quickest bone stock C6 Z06 is 10.9@128+mph) in the 1/4 mile, so until a bone stock 2013 Mustang GT500 matches/beats that then the ZR1 will remain quicker.

An outright top speed race could be a little closer though maybe.

Yeah I know what it's rated at but with a few cars putting down over 600whp that's between 675-700hp depending on what % you use I think 15% seems to be closer based on the mph they trap...IMO

As for a stock ZL1 hitting 200mph sadly it will not unless you mod it but for the guys that plan on modding there cars it won't be to far off.

[QUOTE=gocartone;16364398]You should really get your **** straight before you go and try to correct other people. The GT500 is rated at 662hp, but has been putting down over 600 at the wheels, which means it's making more power than rated at. Not only that, but like someone else said the ZL1 that went over 200 was FAR from stock, and the GT500 was hitting mid-190s with a DA of over 5000, I would like to see a stock ZR1 hit 200mph in those kind of conditions. Supercharger+lots of heat+going wide open for a LONG period of time=MAJOR heatsoak and loss of power.QUOTE]

i dont know about 600 to the wheels i have seen them put down close to it, in the range of 570 to 585 but never over 600

The 2013 GT500 is rated at 662hp, not 650, and not 700.

In other videos they have been dynoing as low as 580rwhp...dynos aren't precision machines, they're tuning tools, and they vary quite a bit.

Also take into consideration factory HP ratings are an average of the line of engines. Some will be more, some will be less...

In what other dynos? I've seen one under-600 dyno so far (that was done in 100+ heat), and a few over.

How are you not sure?? The GT500 is trapping 10mph higher than the ZL1, that makes for a major *** kicking in a mile race.
You mad BRO? I really could care less because you clearly are a better bench racer than me. I'm sure in due time there will be a video of them lined up at the track, and in a top speed run.

You were just posting something you had no clue about. People don't like that around here

Ive seen three dyno at over 600rwhp. Two at over 585rwhp (hot and humid).
On another note, I too would like to see the 13gt500 vs a newer Z06 (and ZR1 for S&Gs)

the new gt500 is rated at 662, and did 196mph in 100 degree 2,000ft elevation. so, yes it will go over 200. and the zl1 didn't do it stock btw.

I cant remember the name of the company/program that did the testing, but theyd did it at K&N's shop and it was something like 582rwhp.

What I'm trying to get at is the fact that it's not fair to say "700hp" when talking about the 2013 GT500, even if some may be seemingly close on paper.

Also, I believe there has been a lot of speculation in the past of Ford sending out "factory freaks" to the magazines and testers when they release a new model. Maybe there is some merit to that, maybe not, but just food for thought.

Not trying to bash anything or say it's impossible whatsoever, just providing information and thought from the other side of the spectrum.

Am I the only one that noticed the zr1 driver never takes his foot off the gas when he shifts? Talk about hardcore.

Guy on SVTperf. just ran his 13 GT500 bone-stock in the 1/4 mile to a 11.8x @123mph and with drag radial hit a 11.2x@128.x. 2.0 sixty foot stock and a 1.7 with dr's. This was with a a guy who's known for the "driver mod" too and was in Mississippi, I think (location). So yes this would be a good run for a z06, but a zr1, don't think so.
