Default H/C C6 Z06 vs Full bolt on E85 GT-R

GT-R makes 585whp, Z06 makes 570whp. Rolls are from 50 and 60mph:

Explain please how a 600 pound lighter car with better aero and instant power gets beat by a 15 more wheel car?

First of all the highlighted part is wrong. The GT-R actually has BETTER aerodynamics than the Z06. Also if you look at the torque curve of a full bolt on E85 GT-R it makes solid power all throughout it's powerband. Even stock GT-Rs have linear torque curves from idle to redline.

Other than that all I know is the GT-R in the vid did a 10.0 @ 137mph at the strip.

Got ya. Still seems like it would of been a door to door race with the weight and 137mph trap.

I don't think any random H/C C6 Z06 is gonna hang with a car that traps 137mph in the 1/4.

the only run that seemed right was the last one. the GTR jumped every time and they left even the last run. either way i would not to run up on either one ha ha.

If you look at the last run you can see that the Z06 jumped that one. The first and second run the GT-R jumped. I think if they went completely even on all runs it would be the GT-R by a car.

How so, even when both parties mentioned that it wasn't. pdv25 even stated he gave the other guy the hit.

The Z06 and ZR1 are actually pretty bad when talking aerodynamics. I think I remember someone doing the math on how the ZR1 driveline in a base C6 would be able to run over 220mph vs the 205mph it does now, which is a pretty big difference.

Yup, the first two races the GTR jumped out first. Either way, the Z06 was the slower car.

ZO6 didnt jump the 3rd the race it was from 60mph best spot for the Z in 2nd gear and little low RPM for GTR in 3rd gear but pdv25 stated he jumped both 1st & 2nd runs since he clearly wanted to make sure he got the win.
Either way the GTR is faster but not by much.

Those Boltons/E85 Stock turbos GTR are freaking sick

So what's the new plans for you beast Hitman ??

GTR's numbers were on mustang dyno I beleive it will be around 620-630awhp on dynojet.

H/C C6 Zo6 costs around 60k or less... GTR costs 75-80k stock plus mods...

GTR is superior but bang for buck I vote Z06. I hear those AWD GTR s are not as fun to drive anyway..

What are you talking about? I have plenty of fun with my GT-R.

The GT-R is an entry level Supercar with the full experience of one as Z06's are. Honestly I could care less and most people who own cars like these could care less how much the other car costs, because at the end of the day I could build a Supra for 30 grand that would walk all over both, or a foxbody/civic for 20k that would do the same.

Money arguments are retarded.

I see you've been reading NAGTROC lately.

I'm looking at some stock housing turbo upgrades along with a catback and intercoolers and actuators. 700whp on pump gas with stock spool.

Good choice.
I remember making 666ahp 23psi on 93octane with stock ported housing turbos on a GTR we build stock engine the car had power everywhere and any speed/gear
